Two fluids exchange heat without mixing. Follow their passage through the plates in two different flow arrangements.
Follow the red and blue flow paths from the upper and lower ports through the plate channels. The fluids remain separate.
Explore plate heat exchangersThe flow changes direction between groups of plates. Movement in each channel follows the arrows in the diagram.
Hot and cold fluids travel in opposite directions in adjacent channels. Heat is transferred through the plate between them.
