Heat Exchanger Plates

Identify replacement plates and plate packs using the details of your existing heat exchanger.

KELVION AND ITS LEGACY BRANDS

Start with the brand on your nameplate.

Your existing heat exchanger may carry one of these brand names or logos. Share the brand, full model designation and serial number to start your gasket or plate enquiry.

A replacement plate enquiry needs the heat exchanger model and nameplate details as well as a photograph of the part. Discuss individual plates, plate packs and associated gasket requirements with Arasta.

What information identifies a plate?

Provide the brand, series and full model designation, together with plate markings and part numbers where available. Specify whether the enquiry concerns a single plate, several plates or a complete plate pack. Existing equipment documentation helps identify the requirement.

Plate material and operating conditions

Fluid composition, temperature and corrosion conditions matter when assessing plate materials. Include the existing material, any changes to operating conditions and the damage observed. Material options are verified separately for each model.

Replacement plates or a change in duty?

Replacing damaged plates and adapting equipment to a new operating point are different requirements. If the heat duty has changed, provide inlet and target outlet temperatures, flow rates and allowable pressure drop for both sides. The existing plate arrangement and equipment records are included in the assessment.

Before you enquire

Is the NT or VT series name enough to identify a part?

The series name is a starting point. The full model, nameplate or serial number and requested part details help identify the requirement more accurately. See the relevant series pages for NT and VT equipment information.

Can adding plates increase the heat duty?

A change in duty requires an assessment of both the equipment and the process. Specify your current operating point and target; performance or compatibility cannot be promised from the plate count alone.
